Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,

The 2017 school year was momentous for Pepin Academies-Pasco. In December 2016, we were granted accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), meeting all requirements of the process. In May, we graduated our first class of seniors. It was an emotional occasion for me, personally, and represented a major achievement for those students and their parents as well as our school.

We continue to strengthen the academic rigor of our program and last year, our student assessment data showed an increase in state assessment scores. We remain fully committed in helping our teachers use a variety of assessment data to target their instructional practice while still remaining sensitive to the exceptional needs of our students.
Last year’s Pepin Academies Community Gala was a great success and will be held again this year on November 2, 2017 at the TPepin Hospitality Center. Pepin-Pasco’s 2nd annual “Catchin’ for Pepin” Fishing Tournament was held in April and was extremely well attended, drawing even more anglers than the year before. Next year’s tournament will be held April 29, 2018 and we expect it to be our most successful tournament to date. Information will be forthcoming as to how you can help promote and participate in both of these events (as well as any of the initiatives taking place at the school.)

We still remain intensely dedicated to bringing the vision and mission of the Pepin Academies to the families of exceptional students in Pasco County. The Pepin-Pasco Board of Directors continues to work diligently toward the goal of finding a permanent location for the Pepin Pasco campus. We hope for that dream to become a reality in the very near future. My plea to you is to join us in our efforts to help support Pepin Academies-Pasco in whatever way you can. Join our Pepin FIRST parent organization, become a volunteer, help seek community support…help us so we can support our students. Be a part of Pepin-Pasco!

Sincerely,

Celeste Kellar
